GO BACK TO WORK / LET’S WORK TOGETHER
Pickled Plates is a South Asian-inspired achaar (pickle) brand rooted in culture, flavor, and a little bit of spice.
It all started with a brand audit—getting super clear on what Pickled Plates stands for. From mission to core values, we laid the groundwork to guide the design direction. At its heart, Pickled Plates is about authenticity, simplicity, and community—bringing tradition and modern wellness together at your table.
To shape the visual direction, we dove into inspo-gathering mode. Think moodboards & references that led us to a final brand concept—complete with logo, color palette, and type system. After a few revisions, we landed on a concept that felt just right. From there, we built out the brand guidelines—aka the go-to playbook for how to use the assets consistently across the board.
The overall vibe? Inviting, nostalgic, and a little playful. If you have a look at the logo, we have a cursive logotype with the two hand-illustrated “p”s hugging each other—a nod to connection. Also we wove in film photography textures, doodles, and warm tones to keep things fresh but still rooted in tradition. It’s a brand that feels like home but looks modern.
